Whatever violent exertions the name might conjure, Warpaint are an L.A. band with the type of folk vibe that makes you want to crawl into a forest hollow for an afternoon's psilocybin idyll or, failing access to foliage or fungi, at least back into bed with the blinds drawn. Either way, this track 'Billie Holiday' has been going around a lot this year, and it's very nice.
